David Ralston Bio
Guitarist, singer-songwriter David Ralston, born in Indiana (U.S.) has called Okinawa, Japan home for 25 years. Proof of David’s undeniable talent is his work with Delaney Bramlett (Eric Clapton producer). Prior to his passing, Delaney came out of retirement to produce and mentor David at his Los Angeles-based home studio for a two-week experience of a lifetime. Delaney spoke the truth when he said in 1999, "The world is going to hear a lot from David Ralston.”
David has released 13 solo albums, his last three making U.S. Top 30 Chart appearances, with his most recent release, “LA Sessions,” hitting #9 on the Airplay Direct Rock Chart. Known for his songwriting, vocals, and slide guitar, David is a music pioneer. Song by song, album by album, he has evolved into a new type of “established international musician.”
MERRY GUSHI BIO:
Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Merry Gushi was born in Okinawa, Japan. She learned Sanshin from her grandmother and began writing songs in high school, where earned the Excellence Award in the Yaeyama classic folk song contest.
In 2007 Merry released her first album, RYUSEI, which received high critical acclaim. She moved to Brazil the following year to further her music studies and skills, where she performed in front of thousands at festivals. For the past several years, Merry has been traveling, and sharing her talents and Ryukyu Country Music from her home in Japan to Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Turkey, Russia, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

“20” is a culmination and celebration of my 20 years in the music business. It all began in 1998 when Delaney Bramlett produced my first 2 albums. He always said
“get the best musicians you can, work hard on your songs make it sound like you and the rest will take care of itself." I have used this formula with this collection of 12 songs spanning genres that include swamp blues, country, Motown, reggae and roots rock all played by some of the greatest musicians both in Nashville and Los Angeles. Living in Okinawa, Japan for the past 25 years my life and music embraces culture and music from all over the world and I think this recording shows that. I’ve been lucky to make some great friends on this musical journey and most played on this recording! Trust me it doesn’t suck to have these guys on your record!
